Evidence-Based Strategies

We utilize the following evidence-based strategies for individual development of necessary skills

Experiential Learning

We provide simulated work environments and volunteer opportunities to facilitate learning-by-doing methods.

Career Exploration

We identify individuals' interests and skills and conduct job searches via job boards, company websites, and ads posted by local employers.

Interview Skills

We build effective communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills. Participants take part in virtual and in-person mock interviews and create resumes, cover letters, and thank you correspondance.

Training and Development

We identify opportunities to train individuals on new skillsets directly connected to their job choice. We develop strengths and leadership abilities to meet the needs of potential employers.

Teamwork

We help participants identify the importance of teamwork by involving them in team building exercises to build communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.

Mentoring

Individuals learn from peers experienced in their identified areas of interests. The support of peers supports the development of social skills such as empathy, active listening, and emotional regulation.

Mastery Learning

Individuals develop the ability to teach others based on the skills they have learned.
